IRIS Business Services has developed the XBRL based reporting system for the JSE thereby enabling the analyst community at JSE to access data of better quality and authenticity. The XBRL implementation at JSE was unique in the sense that use of IFRS 2010 Taxonomy, the inbuilt Formula link base and the multi approach to instance creation wherein there is an option whether the users are either provided with a fixed template in which a limited number of extensions are possible or the users can design their own taxonomy with unlimited extensions, all these were being implemented for the very first time.
